New Site Diary Entry

Commnia Site Diaries allow internal users to log data based on progress and conditions on the building site. Data can be logged progressively throughout the day on-site by any user with access via your mobile device.

1. Accessing Your Site Diary


Login to your Commnia account and select your desired project.

Navigate to the menu bar icon and click Site Diary under Quality + Safety.



2. Enter Site Diary Details




  1. Enter the date of the Site Diary; it will default to today's Date.
  2. Your name will automatically populate the Issued By field.
  3. Enter the Weather Conditions for the day. You can select more than one condition such as Sunny and Windy. You can add weather conditions by typing directly into this field or selecting from the pop-up list.
  4. Enter the Site Conditions for the day. You can select more than one condition such as Wet and Muddy. You can add site conditions by typing directly into this field or selecting from the pop-up list.
  5. Enter any lost time for the day.
  6. Enter any Summary Notes for the day.
  7. Click on Save to continue.

3 . Site Diary Options

There are numerous other fields available to enter information.

Click on each of the headings to enter/view further information

Sign-On History

List of Site Visitors scanned with Commnia QR-Code will be listed here.


Labour

The Labour section allows you to record individual hours for project users.

  1. Enter the contact names or click on the Search icon to open the Project User List, you can change the directory by Company, Project Contact List etc.
  2. You are able to add labour from multiple companies, or multiple contacts.



  1. Enter the Shift Start Time; you can click on the Now button to populate with the current time. 
  2. Enter the Shift Finish Time; you can click on the Now button to populate with the current time.
  3. Enter the Activities for the entered users. 
  4. Click on Save to update the Site Diary.

Trade Attendance

The Trade Attendance section allows you to record consolidated trade hours by the company. Click on the Trade Attendance tab.




  1. Select the Company from the drop-down list or start typing the Company name into this field.
  2. Select the relevant Trade from the dropdown list.
  3. Enter the Number of Labourers on site for the day.
  4. Enter the Collective Hours worked for the labourers. For example, if 6 labourers worked 8 hours, enter 48 hours into this field.
  5. Enter the details of the Activity performed for the day.
  6. Click on Save to update the Site Diary.

Visitors

The Visitors section allows you to record consolidated non-trade hours by an individual. Click on the Visitors tab.




  1. Enter the Name of the Company or Representative.
  2. Enter the Total Hours that they were on site.
  3. Enter the Details of the Activities Performed while on site.
  4. Click on Save to update the Site Diary 

Daily Journals

This section allows you to record notes for the day such as Accidents, Near Misses or Safety Issues. Click on the Daily Journals button.



  1. Select the Type of Category from the dropdown list
  2. Enter the Description of the Note to be recorded.
  3. Click on Save to update the Site Diary.

Tool Hire

The Tool Hire section allows you to record any tools being hired or lent to the project team. Click on the Tool Hire tab.




  1. Enter the Name of the Project Contact who has hired the tool.
  2. Enter the Name of the Tool being hired.
  3. Enter the on Hire Date.
  4. Enter the Expected off-hire Date.
  5. Enter Who is to be Charged for the Tool to Hire.
  6. Enter the Details of the tool hire.
  7. Click on Save to update the Site Diary.

Delays

The Delays section allows you to record lost time during the day. Click on the Delay Tab.



  1. Enter the Delay Category.
  2. Enter the Amount of Lost Time for the day.
  3. Enter Comments/Further Details about the delay.
  4. Click on Save to update the Site Diary.

Back Charges

The Back Charges section allows you to record any back charges for the day. Click on the Back Charge tab.



  1. Enter the Company Liable for the back charge.
  2. Enter the Number of Lost Hours.
  3. Enter the Reason for the back charge.
  4. Click on Save to update the Site Diary.

Deliveries

The Deliveries section allows you to record any deliveries to site during the day. Click on the Delivery tab.



  1. Enter the delivery details.
  2. Click on Save to update the Site Diary.

Photos and Files

The Photos and Files section allows you to upload any construction progress photos or files. Click on the Photos and Files tab.

Drag and drop your files or click to upload.



Select the relevant files and click Open.
After the files have been uploaded, click on Save to update the Site Diary.
