Collaboration During the ECI Stage

Collaboration During the ECI Stage

In the world of construction, the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) stage is a crucial phase where collaborative efforts lay the foundation for project success. During this stage, it’s essential to streamline the sharing and management of critical documents among various stakeholders. One effective way to achieve this is by granting external users access to the document register as document controllers.

Why Grant Access to External Users?

Allowing external users, such as consultants, to act as document controllers during the ECI stage offers several benefits:

  1. Improved Efficiency: Consultants can directly upload already approved documents into the register, reducing the need for multiple layers of approval and communication.
  2. Streamlined Communication: Direct access to the document register ensures that all stakeholders are working with the most up-to-date information, minimising misunderstandings and errors.
  3. Enhanced Collaboration: Providing access fosters a collaborative environment where consultants feel more involved and responsible for the project's success.

How to Grant Document Controller Access to External Users

On the Main Menu select Contacts

1. Select the Project Groups Tab
2. Click on Document Controller List
3. Add users to group

2. Select The users you wish to remove
3. Remove them by selecting 'Remove from group'
