Inductions and Notices/Prestart linked to Sign On | Desktop
Effective communication is key to any successful construction project. From keeping safety protocols in check to ensuring everyone’s on the same page, having the right tools makes all the difference. With a single Sign-On QR Code, you can link notices, pre-starts, and inductions, all in one place.
This mobile-friendly approach removes the hassle of paperwork and manual check-ins, keeping both workers and visitors informed and compliant. Notices provide instant updates, and linked inductions ensure everyone meets site requirements before stepping on site—streamlining the process for critical compliance.
Access QR Sign-On Settings via the Main Menu
Navigate to the main menu and select Sign-On.
Create QR Code
Click on New QR Sign-On.
Create and link Notice from Sign On
1. Add your location - you can enter a custom description as detailed as required
2. Choose the type of QR Code you wish to generate
3. Click on the plus button to create a Notice
4. Give your Notice a Title
5. Enter the Notice Date
6. Upload Documentation and Files relevant to the notice.
7. Enter your Notice, Instructions with the ability to add Images and Embed videos.
8. Save the Notice
9. the newly created notice will now be linked (click here to select a previously created notice)
You can create different notices and change them daily without the need to reprint the QR Code
Create or link an existing Induction
Induction attached to the QR Sign On can be Project Specific (Project Induction) and also Company Specific (General Induction) giving you extra flexibility to manage Induction needs.
Project Induction
1. From the drop-down menu you can link a previously created Induction
2. Create a New Induction
Once an Induction has been linked to the QR you can:
1. Set if the Induction is Mandatory before Sign on can occur
2. Display a message in the home screen when the induction is not complete
Non mandatory Induction will be skippable by the user
General Induction
These Inductions occur at the top level and function across projects, similar to project inductions you can choose from ones already created or create a new one.
Set the mandatory status and the message to display.

Once complete click on Create QR Sign-On.
Display High-Quality QR Codes for Print
Once you have created the Code and Notice, you will be directed back to the list of all QR Codes created.
The Notice is now linked under Linked Notices.

1. You can filter by Job/Project from the drop-down menu.
2. Click Display for the QR code to open in a new tab or Print to open a PDF version with printer functions activated as per the below examples.

Once you have printed the QR Code:
- Download and display your unique QR Code poster. (Do not alter the poster in any way or the QR code may not display correctly).
- Display the QR code where it’s easy to see and easy for people to scan. Display copies of the code at different heights for people with limited mobility or who are using wheelchairs.
User Perspective when scanning QR Code without Commnia App
Once a user scans the QR code, they will be prompted to Download the Commnia App
User accounts can be created within the App by selecting "Register with Commnia"
Please note users must have an account with Commnia to Complete SmartForms

Once the user scans the QR Code the App will display the Induction Forms.
The user simply goes into each one and completes the details
Once the Mandatory Inductions forms are completed, subsequent scans of the QR Code will take the user to the Notice and Sign On screen
Once the user completes the forms the Notice and Signs-on button will be available to complete the Sign on Process.
