How do I remove a document from a package?

Quick answer: System Administrators and Document Controllers can remove documents from a package directly from the Document Register. Navigate to the package, select the documents, and choose Remove from Package / Label.

Only System Admins or Document Controllers can remove a document from packages.

Steps

Navigate to the package using either of these methods:

Option A — via the Search bar on the Document Register main page:

1. Click on Packages / Labels and select the desired package
   

Option B — via the Document Register Filter:

1. Click Packages in the filter panel
2. Select the package you wish to view
3. Click Apply
   

Remove the document(s):

4. Once inside the package, select the document(s) you wish to remove
   
   
   
   
5. Navigate to Packages on the right side of the screen
6. Select Remove from Package / Label from the dropdown menu
   
   
   
   
7. Confirm at the prompt
   
   
   

What to expect

The selected documents will be removed from the package. They will remain in the Document Register

Note: Removing all documents from a package will delete the entire package.

Common issues

Problem: The Remove from Package / Label option is not available
Cause: Your user role may not have permission to remove documents from packages
Fix: Only System Administrators and Document Controllers can perform this action — contact your System Administrator if you need access
