User Groups in Commnia are designed to speed up Commnia’s core functions and communicate with a collection of contacts all at once if need be.
3 Default Groups get created by default when a new project is created:
Project ContactList: Anyone that gets added or awarded a tender gets added to the List.
Procurement Group: Users added here have access to the Tender Manager.
Document Controller Group: Users here get notifications when external users upload documents, the ability to approve and reject documents. They also have control of the Grid Rules.
In addition, you are also able to create customer groups these can be set as:
Public: Non paying customers are able to see members of this group. Examples of Public groups are Site Team, Design Team.
Private: Only paying company has access to this group. Examples of Private groups are Prequalified Tender List
Access Users and Groups in Commnia
Navigate to the menu bar icon and click Contacts under Communication.
Create a New User Group
Click on New Group
1. Name your Group
2. Assign the Privacy: Public where all group members can see each other/ Your Company meaning only internal users who belong to the same company as the creator can see the group
3. What Job/Project the Group belongs to.
4. Description field
5. Once finalised click on Save
Add User to Group
Now that the group has been created let's add a user to the group.
Select the newly created group, click on Add users to group
Search for the user, select themand click on Add selected users
