In the case that an external company needs the builder to upload documents on behalf of them. Documents controllers and System Admins has the ability to assign/change the "Received From' based on which company supplied the documents.
For this reason, we have two fields; "Uploaded By" and "Received From".
"Uploaded By" will be registered by who is logged in when uploading the documents, this information cannot be edited.
"Received From" can be changed to recognise the user that has supplied to documents to the builder.
If you incorrectly allocate the wrong "Received From" information, you can change the user, using the Document Register Editing tools.
Uploading to the Document Register
1. After selecting the documents to upload.
2. By default, Commnia will insert the uploaders name (person who is logged in). If the uploader needs to assign received from to a different user, simply click "Received From" and search for contact and select accordingly.
3. Select the documents that you would like to apply and click Apply to All Selected.
4. The Received From column will reflect the selected user.
5. Click Submit Selected, your documents will now be uploaded to the document register.
View Uploaded By and Received From Details in the Document Register
To view the document details, click on the document name, under revisions tab all the documents details will be displayed.
1. Uploaded By - the user that has uploaded the document
2. Received From - the user that you have received the documents from
